Jennifer is a seasoned clinician with 15 years of experience and holds multiple advanced degrees in counseling and psychology. She has extensive practical experience treating addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Jennifer has provided vocational counseling and individual therapy for mentally ill adults and people with substance abuse issues in community mental health facilities as well as in her own private practice. Her general areas of practice include addiction and mental health issues, co-occurring disorders, personal growth and development, and couples issues.
Jennifer is a licensed professional counselor in New Jersey and an approved clinical supervisor through the Center for Credentialing and Education, as well as a certified clinical supervisor through the New Jersey Addiction Professionals Certification Board. She is also a seasoned utilization review expert trained in addiction criteria by renowned addiction psychiatrist Dr. David Mee-Lee, the chief editor of the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s guidelines for patient placement.
Jennifer holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling and applied psychology from Rowan University, a master’s degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix, and a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers. She is a MacArthur Foundation Fellow and a McNair Scholar. She is nearing completion of her doctorate in education degree in counseling psychology from Argosy University.
